Anthony Tate '13

My experience at CSULB was truly special. From the moment I saw the pyramid off the freeway, I knew I had to go there. The diversity on campus made me feel welcome and the professors were incredibly influential. I took a class with a professor who had a famous student, Shaq, and another professor who encouraged me to pursue my master's degree. I was able to use the knowledge I gained from my American studies degree to help me get promoted in the police department. I also used the Distance Learning program which allowed me to continue working while I was earning my MPA. Long Beach was a place where I could learn, make lifelong friendships, and find success. It was the best bang for my buck and I'm proud to be an alum.
