Civic Engagement and Center for Community Engagement resources

AB 963 Civic Engagement: Elections & Voting – Center for Community Engagement plays an important role in advancing CSULB’s Beach 2030 Vision and Strategic Priorities through a broad range of programs, initiatives, projects and equitable High Impact Practices (HIPs). Last year, through the service-learning program, 8,000 service hours were logged from over 157 active community partners dedicated to making a lasting impact on the community. Civic Engagement: CSULB partners with those cities that are in its local preference geographic boundary. Incoming freshman and transfers are given preferential admission consideration if they graduate from schools in those cities.
