Jerry Rivero has more than 10 years of experience as an Advocacy Planner addressing the health inequities faced by frontline communities. Jerry has integrated his background in Planning. Social and Environmental Justice as a method for communities to advocate for change. Jerry was instrumental in advocating for policies that promoted community voice and integrated the diverse perspectives of residents. These efforts resulted in policies that helped redirect pollution sources away from sensitive land uses in the community of Barrio Logan.   In 2013, Jerry received his bachelor's degree from CSULB in Sociology followed by a master's degree in Planning from the University of Southern California. He has dedicated his career to working alongside frontline communities throughout Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego Counties.
