Celebrating Unity: CSULB's Lunar New Year Festival
A Tapestry of Tradition and Togetherness

Year of the Rabbit (2023)

Location: Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden

A Platform for Belonging

Our celebration at the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden created a meaningful platform for cultural solidarity and understanding during challenging times. The festival honored Asian cultural traditions while fostering community connections.

"These celebrations are about more than tradition. They're about healing, understanding, and building bridges." — APID Resource Center Representative

The 2023 festival was more than just an event—it was a statement. Against the backdrop of rising anti-Asian racism, CSULB created a powerful platform of solidarity, education, and cultural pride.

Through vibrant performances, interactive workshops, and heartfelt connections, the campus transformed into a living canvas of Asian cultural richness.
