I've really loved my time here at the Beach. Some of my favorite memories include traveling across the country with my teammates for water polo (Michigan and Hawaii were my favorites), spending time with my friends, trying all kinds of food all around Long Beach (Poke Pola on 2nd St. Is my personal favorite), and making life-long friends in my classes. I’ve had the privilege of being able to work alongside so many awesome creators in my time as a student here and I feel so lucky to call them friends and collaborators.
When I was picking between the schools I wanted to attend, water polo was a major deciding factor. I wanted the Division I experience and the ability to grow as an athlete. When I had my recruiting trip, I loved the atmosphere of the team and how I immediately felt at home when I was walking on campus. I just felt like I belonged here at CSULB, and I couldn’t pass that opportunity up. The campus is also nearby to my hometown, so I have the luxury of being able to see my family as often as I’d like, while also having my own independence.
I currently work in the industry as a freelance filmmaker. As of now, I work at Beach Vision here at CSULB, while also balancing gigs at Angel Stadium and Honda Center working as a part of their in-house entertainment crew. I want to be able to keep working in sports broadcasting, since it brings together two of my biggest passions; sports and film. In the future, I’d love to work for all the different Southern California sports franchises and even the Olympics. I feel very lucky to have had the opportunities I’ve had, and I want to continue to grow in my skills.
I got involved because I’ve had such an amazing experience here at Long Beach State and I’d love to be able to share that with the community and hope others relate to my positive experience.
