Vanessa is a single parent and proud Navy mom from Santa Ana, CA. She earned her BS from CSULB in Criminal Justice and is a first-generation college graduate. Vanessa worked for 15 years with the Orange County District Attorney's Office, starting off as an Office Technician and working her way to an Attorney Clerk II. She obtained her paralegal certificate at UC Irvine and is a Notary Public. In 2022, she started working in private law as a Paralegal in Family Law and Personal Injury with Madison Law, APC. She also serves on the board of Southwest Community Center in Santa Ana, which assists in providing services for the homeless, and is an active member of the Sigma Gamma Rho sorority.
