CSULB Dominates List of Finalists For The 2021 CSU Media Arts Festival With 12 Films Represented
Each year, The CSU Media Arts Festival features countless films from CSULB as well as other CSU campuses. The CSU Summer Arts established the Media Arts Festival in 1991 to give talented students studying film, broadcasting, video, screenwriting, and new media within the 23-campus California State University system an opportunity to present their work for critical review. In 2000, the Media Arts Festival further expanded to include events focused on helping prepare CSU students to work in the entertainment industry. This year of the 31 finalists for the 31st Annual CSU Media Arts Festival, 12 of them are from CSULB.

The festivities with a screening of the 31 finalists beginning Friday, October 22, 2021. Participants will have several days over which to view the work of our talented finalists. And viewing can be done at one’s own pace!
On Friday, October 29, 2021 at 1:30pm, CSU Media Arts will present awards for animation, documentary/creative non-fiction, experimental, narrative, promotional, short screenplay, television news, and best in show! They will also screen the winners.
