Where are they now? - Daryl Foster
The Accelerated MBA program from CSULB is world class. I entered as a non-business major hoping to build the broad set of skills necessary to run my own business. While I have yet to take the leap into starting my own business, I found a passion in working with other businesses to help them grow. I’ve applied every nugget of knowledge from the MBA program from the core of Marketing, Finance, and Operations to more granular processes like Information Systems, Business Strategy, and Resource Planning.
With the MBA as my foundation, I’ve found success in Software, Branding, and Finance industries, giving me the versatility to be a dynamic producer and contributor.
Most recently, I’ve leveraged my MBA and subsequent software experience to cultivate open-source products with OS Labs, a tech accelerator. My team of engineers designed and deployed a new release of ReacType, an open-source prototyping tool for React based applications. Our tool provides software developers with a drag and drop sandbox and full demo application render to quickly communicate application design with other developers and non-technical stakeholders. The most difficult part in developing any application or product is buy-in from managers, investors, and company stakeholders. ReacType enables the effective communication and demonstration of design vision without the barrier of understanding the underlying code and application framework.
