Dr. Becker Selected for Fulbright Award to Australia

Dr. Matt Becker will be in residence at Curtin University, Perth Australia, working on applications of fiber optic sensing for water resources and enhanced geothermal energy. He will spend the Spring 2022 semester working with researchers at Curtin University, and visiting other institutions in Australia.
This is the fourth Fulbright Scholarship awarded to faculty in the Geological Sciences Department at California State University, Long Beach. Dr. Becker has a previous Fulbright in Italy, Dr. Landon-Stevens for Vietnam, and Dr. Finney for Austria.
