Permit Fee Schedule - FAQ
Parking and Transportation Services did not increase permit fees as scheduled for Academic Year 2023-24. All parking permit fees were held (or "frozen") at the previous fee rate from 2022-23. Summer session 2023 permits were included in this freeze.
Our department reviews our financial information on an ongoing basis. Based on the review of fiscal year 2022-23, permit sales from in-person instruction and on-campus events had recovered more quickly than initial projections. For this reason, parking permit fees were frozen at their current prices for 1 year beginning on July 1, 2023.
All permit types were included in the 1-year freeze with the exception of the 90-min and 120-min (E5 only) parking fees, which actually decreased by $2 each respectively.
After academic year 2023-24, permit prices will increase proportional to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) or 5%, whichever is lower. This will create our future fee increase policy moving forward.
Yes, an email communication was released in early August 2023 detailing all parking program changes for the 2023-24 academic year.
Some of the larger changes included a less expensive evening/weekend permit option (after 5:30 p.m. and all day on weekends), improved pick-up/drop-off zones, and increased daily permit privileges.
