My past four years at CSULB have honestly been a whirlwind! I did my best to take advantage of the services and opportunities that were available to me. I was able to accomplish a 40-page Honors Thesis, countless volunteer hours, campus leadership, and overall professional development. I can truly say that I have pushed myself, explored new activities and roles, and have grown as a person because of it. All I have left to say is: Go Beach!
I was actually committed to another university when I received an email stating that I was chosen to receive the President’s scholarship (full tuition) to CSULB. My family and I made the decision together to cancel everything, and then commit to CSULB instead. Given the student loan crisis that affects many graduates today, I am beyond grateful to the Beach for giving me the opportunity to graduate debt free.
After graduating, I plan to enroll in a Master’s degree program in Healthcare Administration. I’d like to continue my education so that I can become a leader in healthcare strategy and marketing for the purpose of reducing maternal and neonatal health disparities. I hope to start this program in Fall 2021.
I got involved with the myBEACH program and CSULB Alumni because I wanted to stay connected to CSULB and open myself up for the opportunity to help other students. I would love to be able to assist, mentor, or give guidance to any students that want to learn more about my experience at The Beach.
