Featured Scholarship Recipient – Susan Bavol, Online MBA
I was surprised and honored to find out that I had received the first ever MBA Advisory Board Scholarship this semester! My BS in Chemistry has given me a broad level of experience over the course of my career, but I knew I needed to earn my MBA if I wanted to extend my career to upper management. The Cal State Long Beach Online MBA program has allowed me to work full time, travel for work and family, and still work with my professors and cohort extensively.
As my current company does not pay for a graduate degree, I am funding this education on my own. Receiving this scholarship helps ease that burden enough that I can focus more on the schoolwork and less on the finances.
I am deeply honored to have been the first recipient of this award, and hope to collaborate with the Advisory Board in the future!
