From working at CSULB Student Health Services as a Peer Health Educator to being elected as a Senator for the College of Health and Human Services, my school involvement has allowed me to see the abundance of resources and opportunities the school has to offer students and that’s just one of many reasons why I love this school. I’ve grown so much both academically and professionally, and I have my Beach Experience to thank for that.

The beach, sunny weather, and a relatively close proximity to home were some reasons that initially interested me in applying to CSULB, but as soon as I visited the campus and attended SOAR, I immediately fell in love and I’ve really enjoyed my time here ever since my Freshman year.

After graduating from CSULB, I plan on attending graduate school to receive my Master’s in Public Health in Health Policy and Management. I aim to be either a Program Manager or Director in a Healthcare facility where I work in improving the overall healthcare system.

I got involved with the Mentor/myBeach program because I really enjoy gaining insight and wisdom from a mentor whose life experiences can teach me valuable lessons that can ultimately contribute my overall personal and professional growth.
