Featured Scholarship Recipient – Abdul Ahad Babar
My lifelong dream of working for a top professional firm turned into reality with the enormous support and encouragement I received from the CSULB staff and our most generous donors who with their contributions have enabled students from not so privileged backgrounds like me to succeed and excel under difficult circumstances. Having been awarded the Lesser Family scholarship at a financially critical time period gave me a lot of room to maneuver around coursework and on campus activities thus resulting in a great GPA and more networking which lead to my phenomenal job opportunity.
My last year at CSULB was absolutely epic in terms of my social growth as well as fulfilling my academic and career goals but all this was possible due to the great platform laid by the staff and donors at CSULB. Receiving this scholarship has positively impacted me in ways that I had never imagined it would and has inspired me to make the same sort of contributions for future students at the Beach. I look forward to staying involved with CSULB through Beta Alpha Psi and in any way I could make a positive impact. Thank you again for turning dreams into reality. GO BEACH!
