I’m so glad I chose The Beach because the opportunities I’ve received here have been life changing. My Fashion classes made college extremely enjoyable, as I loved what I was learning! Field trips to company headquarters were always a bonus. Next, the guidance I’ve received from the SCPD mentoring programs has helped me land amazing internships and continue to teach me valuable lessons for the business world. I got to intern for the Long Beach Airport and was able to apply what I learned in my Marketing classes to create successful content! Furthermore, I got to travel through Europe thanks to influences from our Study Abroad program. They helped me realize it was actually possible to go to the places I’d always wanted to go. As a result, I became acquainted with our International Student community. I’ve created wonderful memories here at CSULB with friends from all over the world. Thanks to them, I even picked up the Italian language. Who would’ve ever guessed!
I was accepted into many universities as a senior in high school. They were all great schools but there was one thing missing. Cal State Long Beach was the only school that allowed me to follow my passions and remain creative. They gave me the opportunity to major in Marketing and get a taste of the Fashion Industry with their Fashion Merchandising program. The School of Business does a great job at preparing students and I’m very grateful I got the chance to get my education here. There is a lot of support for students to succeed.
One week after graduation I will be returning to Europe to celebrate the accomplishment! Once I return, my goal is to start my career as a Marketing Professional. I recently accepted an offer to work as a Social Media Coordinator with a Digital Marketing company so my journey has officially begun. I’d love to work in both the Entertainment and Fashion Industries. More specifically, the dream is to end up at E! Entertainment Television and I definitely plan on pursuing that dream. With the help of my mentor, I hope to find the right path for me while making The Beach proud!
