I participated in the Intramural Programs and had many friends there to attend campus events with.

49’er days was fun. I recall seeing the Doors concert there with a friend in 1969.

The Cafeteria was always a fun spot to be at during lunchtime, this is where I hung out with my friends from Kappa Sigma.

I enjoyed the faculty in the Sociology Department, where I learned a lot about human behaviors alone and in groups. One professor had worked with street gangs and that fascinated me... Another professor was excellent on providing a historical overview of human social behaviors.

CSCLB prepared me for a great career with the LA County Probation Department as a Probation Officer in 1970. I found my experience at the college both enriching and a fun time in my life.

I matured much in college and was ready to take on the adult responsibilities of life. In 1978, I earned a MA Degree in Criminal Justice from Pepperdine University. I worked a total of 35 years in the Justice System, 27 years with LA Probation and 8 years in Court Administration at Orange County Superior Court. I was a part time AJ instructor at LBCC from 1980 to 1996. From 2003 to 2006 I was a part time faculty at CSULB and CSUF one the Criminal Justice Department. In 2006 – 2007, I earned certificates as a Sommelier and Certified Wine Specialist from the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Wine and Spirits Educational Trust of England

I now enjoy traveling to wine areas of the world, golfing, swimming, biking and skiing. I live in Aliso Viejo CA and have two married daughters and four grandchildren. My wife is also retired from her business in placing employees in the Travel and Hospitality industry.
