Policy Statement - 79-24 Music, Minor in

SUBJECT: MINOR IN MUSIC

The following policy statement, recommended by the Academic Senate at its meeting of February 22, 1979, and approved by the President on August 23, 1979, is as follows:

Achieve proficiency on primary instrument or voice equivalent to entering music major.  A minimum of 20 units, 9 of which must be upper division, distributed as follows:

Lower Division:

Music 120A&B 122A, 140, 160 
Music 100 or 300 
Music 125 or 325

Upper Division:

Music 390, 327 or 481, 421 or 425A 
Credential Candidates should take EDSS 450N
