James H. Eaton
1987, Master of Business Administration, CSULB
According to James Eaton, once he received his MBA, "no position, opportunity or challenge was off limits," and his career path certainly proved him right. Eaton began as a revenue accountant for Exxon Company in 1978.
In 2004, he became president and CEO, general partner and director of Airdrome Holdings, LLC, where he has been a key leader since 1987. The company operates with 220 employees globally and generates annual sales of $35 million.
Eaton also plays an active role in the community, serving on the board of directors for the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, advertising executive for the Los Alamitos High School Football Booster Club and an elder for Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church. Eaton has been an instrumental leader in the development of several CSULB College of Business Administration programs, including serving as a member of the task force to reinvent the department's MBA program in 2001-02.
He has also served as a director of the CBA Dean's Advisory Board since 1999, including a stint as chair in 2002-03, and is a charter member of the Leadership Roundtable, a partnership between CBA and the business/professional community. As a student, he was a member of the CSULB chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma and made the Graduate Dean's List.
A resident of Long Beach, Eaton is proud of his 20+ year marriage to his wife, Sheri, and their three children, Brittany, Christopher and Sydney.
