Collaborating With Campus Partners

The success of Beach XP hinges on our ability to make meaningful connections and collaborate closely with our campus partners. The collective effort by these partners reflects our commitment to being a student-ready campus, dedicated to student success. The integration of Microsoft Bookings 365 has not only simplified the scheduling process, but strengthened our campus community by making resources more accessible.

One of the key challenges in executing Beach XP’s Activity Hour — which is integrated into the learning community — was coordinating and scheduling activities. To address this, we worked with Academic Technology Services (ATS) and began utilizing Microsoft Bookings 365, creating a one-stop shop that brings together the colleges and campus partners in a streamlined and efficient manner. This platform has enabled us to coordinate over 120 activities since its integration in spring 2023, making it easier for students to engage with campus resources and activities.

Embedded in the learning community is the activity hour, a dedicated time for students to engage in various social and skill-building activities, both inside and outside the classroom. The goal of the activity hour is to foster connections, support academic and personal development, and create a holistic college experience. The activity hours are designed to bring resources directly to students, significantly improving their engagement and connection with the campus community. Data shows that when resources are accessible, their participation and overall satisfaction increases. This proactive approach ensures that students have the support they need to succeed both academically and personally.
