Applications Now Available
Applications to the CSULB Lechaion Harbor Project for 2025-2026 are now available. Selected students will be asked to return for a Zoom interview.
Deadline to apply is December 15, 2024.
Benefits
Students selected for the CSULB Lechaion Harbor Project will:
- Receive modest financial compensation to account for missed work opportunities.
- Attend workshops and activities designed to provide specialized training that will support their career and leadership development.
- Meet regularly with a faculty mentor to help keep the student on track to complete their research project.
- Receive funding to attend and present at conferences.
- Be in a lifelong network of students in Archaeology and Earth Science.
Eligibility
The following are requirements for all 2025-2026 applicants.
- Participants must be enrolled as an undergraduate student through Fall 2025.
- Priority is given to students majoring in Classics and Anthropology.
- Students from Earth Science or Environmental Science are welcome to apply but should explain how your major and academic pursuits are relevant to the project.
- Participants must have a valid passport by March 2025 and which is current until January 2026. This project involves international travel.
- Participants must be able to fully commit to the project, including meetings in spring 2025 to prepare for the field season, a summer field season over the month of June 2025, laboratory work and project seminars in late summer through fall 2025, and conference participation in 2026 (see: Student Obligations).
