Los Angeles native and hornist Dylan Hart is a busy freelance musician. Depending on the day, Dylan can be found recording music for video games, film, theme parks, cruises and television as well as performing a wide variety of music genres including solo, chamber music, pop, jazz, contemporary, and orchestral concerts. In 2013, Dylan won Honorable Mention in the Professional Division at the International Horn Competition of America.

Dylan is very active in the Los Angeles film music scene, having recorded films with many great film composers including Alexandere Desplat, James Newton Howard, Bruce Broughton, Allen Silvestri, Hans Zimmer and John Williams. Some movie titles he has recorded on are Frozen, Star Wars: Episode VII, The Hangover III, and Godzilla. Dylan has also recorded albums and made television appearances with music legends Michael Bublé, Sting, Neil Patrick Harris, Stevie Wonder, Wu-Tang Clan, Gladys Night, Yo-Yo Ma, Neil Young and The Beatles! Dylan can also be heard playing solo horn on his namesake’s (Bob Dylan) most recent album Shadows in the Night.

In the summer of 2013, Dylan toured Europe with The Who doubling on horn, trumpet, trombone, Wagner tuba, and mellophone. He has also toured with John Williams’ Star Wars in Concert and Eden Espinosa of Wicked.

Dylan maintains an active teaching studio and has been highly sought after as a guest performer and lecturer. In 2014 and 2015 he performed and gave masterclasses at Baylor University TX, University of Western Illinois, Cal State University, Long Beach, and several high schools in the Los Angeles area. He also was a guest artist at IHS 46 in London as well as the Southwestern workshop in San Diego.

In the orchestral world, Dylan has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Santa Barbara Symphony, Redlands Symphony, and the San Diego Symphony Orchestra to name a few. He is a member of the Los Angeles Horn Quartet and Modern Brass Quintet.

When not playing horn, Dylan enjoys cooking, yelping restaurants, playing ice hockey, golfing, surfing, playing soccer, and hanging out with his wife and fellow hornist and IHS 47 Co-Host Annie Bosler.
