Day 4: Hands on Equipment

Today was different from the other days in that we got to go out and learn/experiment with some of the equipments we will be using in Hawaii. I also had a great time with the blimp today (pics below). The blimp had two cameras (one true color and one color IR) attached to it that will be used to take aerial photography when we go to Hawaii. Today we floated (or flew) it at the upper campus of CSULB. I can’t wait to use this in Hawaii.

Here is a brief overview of today’s schedule

9:50am – 10:50am? –  Lecture on physics

10:50am? – 12:00pm – Learning about spectrometer and testing it outside and learning about GPS.

12:00pm – 1:00pm LUNCH!!

1:00pm – 3:00pm Flying a blimp
