Dr. Monisha Das Gupta- "All of Us or None: Migrant Organizing in an Era of Deportation"
Join Dr. Monisha Das Gupta, Professor of Ethnic Studies at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, as she discusses her newly published book, All of Us or None: Migrant Organizing in an Era of Deportation. Dr. Das Gupta will be joined by Lian Cheun, Executive Director of Khmer Girls in Action, Long Beach, for a conversation on creative resistance strategies used by community organizations in NY, LA, and Honolulu to challenge settler carcerality. Topics include direct action, storytelling, political education, and youth and queer leadership as tools for advancing abolitionist migrant justice.
The talk will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 6:45 PM in PSY-236. Speakers will attend virtually. A link is available upon request.
