Tony Hoang
Tony Hoang joined the Department of Electrical Engineering in 2017. Prior to that, he worked as an electrical engineer in the medical device industry, initially at a startup, then at a Fortune 300 company as a Principal Electrical Engineer. Mr. Hoang's specialization is in mixed-signal electronics, hardware design and implementation, and product development. His research interests are within the fields of plethysmography, and artificial neural network classification. At his most recent position, he led projects in pulmonary function testing, and polysomnography, i.e. sleep studies. Furthermore, Mr. Hoang has experience in curriculum and course design for engineering programs. He has authored several dozen technical reports, manuals, and papers. He teaches within the departments of Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering.
