Dr. Maryam Moussavi
Dr. Maryam Moussavi teaches in the CSULB Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering departments. She received her master's in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and master's and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia. She worked with Dr. Herman Schwan from University of Pennsylvania and Dr. Hun H. Sun on characterization of tissue/metal implant interface. Her research interests include physiological signal processing, image processing, and development of new medical instruments. Her teaching interests include Digital Signal Processing, Linear and Nonlinear system theories and complexity and scaling in biomedical signals and systems. Her professional goal is to fuse today's advance computational sciences, engineering, and technology with medicine to help mankind.
