DR. KIP HAGGERTY
Dr. Haggerty has 34 years of experience in control, communication, and sensor systems engineering and 20 years in consulting as the Principal Systems Engineer for H&A Systems Engineering. He has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from UCLA and has provided systems engineering and analysis services for advanced airborne radar, cruise missile defense, electronic warfare, calibration, power electronics, active RFID location, and breathalyzer sobriety monitoring devices. He has consulted for two start-up companies, one of which is a successful business today. Previously, he was an engineer at Hughes Aircraft Company performing systems engineering and analysis on a broad range of RF technologies and algorithms for calibration, signal processing and control including avionic system concepts combining spread spectrum data communications, radar, and air traffic control communications. He also led a cooperative engagement system concept study and participated in demonstrating the first high resolution radar range profiles from a new waveform.
Dr. Haggerty is a member of Tau Beta Pi and a licensed electrical engineer in California. He has five published papers and has given numerous presentations. He has taught courses on Kalman Filtering, Digital Signal Processing, digital control of power electronics, basic electrical engineering, and applied mathematics.
