Drs. Hu & Maldonado win system-wide CSUBIOTECH New Investigator Award

We are thrilled to announce some remarkable achievements from some of our Biomedical Engineering faculty, Drs. Derek Hu and Maricela Maldonado! Please join us in congratulating her on these outstanding accomplishments:

  • Maldonando has been accepted into the prestigious BioPACIFIC summer research program at UC Santa Barbara. 
  • She has been honored with the CSUBIOTECH New Investigator Award. 
  • Her NIH S10 grant application for a Confocal Microscope has been recommended for funding, paving the way for groundbreaking research opportunities. 

Hu, the newest member of our CSULB BME family, has been awarded the CSUBiotech New Investigator Award! This is truly remarkable, especially considering Dr. Hu joined us less than a year ago.
