Dean's Advisory Council gathers for Spring Meeting

On May 17, the Dean's Advisory Council chatted via Zoom, discussing updates at CSULB and around the council's respective industries. The council is made up of executives across a wide range of fields, including several alumni, who collaborate with and support the college. Other members of the DAC take a minute to discuss their sectors, companies, and general professional insights. These wisdoms build bridges, help faculty stay at the cutting edge, and inspire collaboration. One recent example came when Aerospace Executive and Consultant Dan Hart mentioned that a high percentage of the industry is focused on satellite programs. One semester later, SharkSat-1 was awarded a free launch by NASA's Cube Satellite initiative. It was the first time that CSULB applied, and now as early as 2025-26 The Beach will be orbiting the Earth.
