"Earning my Masters Degree in Accountancy immediately following the undergraduate program has been integral in the current competitive job market as it has set myself apart from the crowds of candidates applying for similar positions. The Masters program details their curriculum to reflect the updated educational requirements imposed in order to obtain your CPA license. Since obtaining my MSA Degree at CSULB I have passed all four CPA examinations and have been hired full time at Holthouse Carlin & Van Tright LLP, where I have been able to apply the technical knowledge learned in the classroom, as well as the real life application obtained through case studies with clients.  I am continually expanding my pool of knowledge and professional network, which would not be possible without the MSA program. Go Beach!"

The Accountancy Fast Track Masters program is now available to current CSULB undergrad students seeking a career in public accountancy. With this new program, CSU Long Beach students now have the fastest possible path to meeting the 150-hour CPA licensure requirements, while earning both BSBA and MSA degrees in five years or less (three years for incoming transfer students).

Students are eligible to submit a FAST TRACK Application to the MSIA Program if they meet the following criteria:

  • Are CSULB undergraduate students with a major in Accountancy
  • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher at the time of the application
  • Must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher through graduation

Students may submit the FAST TRACK application as accounting major undergraduates with a GPA of at least 3.0. If preliminarily accepted, students will receive a waiver for the GMAT/GRE requirement, video statement of purpose, short answer essay, and letters of recommendation. The program offers a unique opportunity for high-performing undergraduate students to achieve important educational goals and start their careers in public accounting earlier. Contact cob-gradprograms@csulb.edu to request the FAST TRACK application.
