The BPP is awarded a $25,000 Interfaith America / American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) grant

Dr. Richard Marcus wrote the "Advancing Campus Pluralism" grant, which will help to fund the BPP into its second year. Dr. Marcus along with Dr. Sophia Pandya and Dr. Chris Fowler will represent the BPP team when they travel to the AASCU offices in Washington, D.C., on June 16-18, 2025, to meet as part of the national Advancing Campus Pluralism Cohort.

Dr. Conoley takes BPP Fellows to IA pluralism conference

Dr. Jane Close Conoley took two BPP Fellows with her to an Interfaith America conference titled: "Advancing Campus Pluralism: Courageous Leadership in Contentious Times" on March 10-11, 2025. The conference spotlighted practical approaches to bridging political, religious, and ideological divides.

BPP Fellow Sara Beller organizes Faith Forum

Sara Beller worked with Dr. Jessica Spence Moss, Assistant Director of Interfaith Programs at CSULB, to put on the 18th Annual Faith Forum for junior high and high school students with the theme "Faith Frames and Interfaith Lenses" on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Orange, CA. 

BPP Fellow Jessica King presents at Social Mobility Symposium

BPP Fellow Jessica King presented at the National Social Mobility Symposium at CSU SM on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Her presentation was titled "Pluralistic Approaches to CSULB Healthcare Through Intersections of Faith, Race, and Disability." 

Pluralism Fellowship Dinner with Dr. Leakhena Nou

The Beach Pluralism Project is excited to welcome Dr. Leakhena Nou (Sociology) to speak to the pluralism fellows at an event that includes dinner. The title of Dr. Nou’s talk is “A medical sociological analysis of pluralism: case study of Cambodian justice healing.”
