This is my second year as transfer student from Long Beach City College (Class of 2019!) and it has been amazing. I continue to meet so many people on the way that have the same struggles as I had and succeeded in life. The professors I have taken are very helpful and will be there for you when you need it.

Since high school I always wanted to get accepted to CSULB because the campus is so nice. It is also close to home and I knew I wouldn’t struggle to commute. Once I got I accepted to CSULB, I knew one of my dreams came true!

After school I want to be able to get my career started and later apply for the Masters Degree in Social Work.

I heard about myBEACH when I was in Long Beach City College as well as from friends that currently attend and graduated from CSULB. I wish my senior year experience would be more different, and as amazing and fun. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, as a student I'm unable to attend on-campus classes and many events through Zoom won’t be the same as in person.

Activities and Organizations: At the moment I’m not involved in any organizations but will do so for next semester. I’m really interested in joining the Center for Latino Community. I want to help the Latino community help and support for their health. I’m currently a volunteer at the Long Beach Memorial Hospital and Miller Children’s Hospital. My position there is I’m in the Service Support area where I greet guests and help patients get discharged from their rooms. Due to COVID-19, many programs have been suspended and I miss seeing my friends every week. My second volunteer position is I’m a Service Subject Matter Expert for Comagine Health. I help improve the care that is provided to patients in dialysis. There are activities to improve care and culture in the unit within the program of ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease) Alliance Network 18. This company works with staff members in all DaVita facilities online.
