My time here at CSULB will be something to remember. I’ve made so many great connections here from academic, professional and personal. I’ve met some of my best friends here. Since my freshman year I’ve been involved in Black life here on campus and have been a part of BSU as not only a general member but as an executive board member as well. I’ve learned how to be a student leader and take what I’ve learned from my experiences and apply it to real life.

What made me decide to go to CSULB was that it wasn't too far from home but far enough to where I could become more independent. CSULB was one of the few schools where I could pursue a degree in the arts and still get that full college experience. What also helped my decision was how many clubs and organizations I knew I could participate in while attending here. And not only that but, as President's Scholar, I was fortunate enough to not have to worry about how I was going to pay for my education.

After college, my plan is to start working in the animation/film industry for production management. It would be amazing to get hired at companies such as Sony or Dreamworks Pictures.

I want to be able to give back to my community after graduating, so I plan on staying connected with CSULB Alumni.
