Claude Klug ’58
It is great to return to the campus and the Carpenter Center for events. I get the chance to meet with classmates that contact was lost over the years. It is also good to give something back, in donations of time or contributions to such programs as the President’s Scholars program. I have served on a Committee for President Horn, and then 8 years on the CSULB Alumni Board and 5 years on the CSU Alumni Council.
My fondest memory of LBSC was participating in 49er Days.
I was very involved throughout my years at LBSC. I was student body Treasurer, Graduate Class President, President of TKE Fraternity, Prospector Yearbook and part of the 49er Staff.
I attended most of the events such as 49er Days, Brown and Gold Day, and a few of the dances. My favorite hang-outs on and around campuses were the quad, Joe Jost’s, and the Clock Drive Inn.
I acquired an education, internship, and the campus activities prepared me City Management and to serve as an elected official.
Get involved in campus activities and internship opportunities. I did not really appreciate the value of the CSU experience until it was over.
