Joe Sparks, MS '88
Sr. Section Manager, Raytheon Technologies
Joe has 40 years of experience in Electrical Engineering and Aerospace. Joe began his career with TRW Systems (Now Northrup-Grumman), designing hardware for space-based power conversion applications, while earning his M.S. in Electrical Engineering. He continued his work in power electronics design and project lead roles at Artesyn Power & Rantec Power Systems. Joe has worked at Raytheon Technologies in design and management roles in for Raytheon’s Electronic Warfare & Vision Systems application products since 2001. He has served on the adjunct faculty at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo since 2012, teaching Electrical Engineering lab courses. Outside of his work career, Joe was elected in 2006 to the Board of the Los Osos Community Services District, where he served as President and Vice-President.
