Originally from Mexico, Kelby Sapien moved to Long Beach in 2002 at the age of nine. He remained in Long Beach until 2016, where he attended Long Beach City College and went on to graduate from CSULB with a degree in Computer Science. During his time at The Beach, he led a research program in security and worked as a mentor through the HSI-STEM program. He has worked as a software engineer for Target since 2016, where has contributed to the Digital and Supply Chain spaces.
