From Fine Art to Walt Disney Imagineering

Larry A. Davis received a Master of Fine Arts from CSULB, after earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Youngstown State University in Ohio. At both universities he majored in sculpture and minored in photography. He was teaching at the university, as well as creating art, when presented with an opportunity to join the Walt Disney Company. After a 30+ year career, he retired in 2016 from Walt Disney Imagineering as an Executive Producer and Creative Director. In his final project, he was responsible for the Design, Development, and Execution of the Main Entrance of Shanghai Disneyland. Throughout his Disney career, he continued to create art and show his work in numerous galleries. In retirement, Larry maintains a studio in Los Angeles, while working on a new series of sculpture.
