Recruitment Director at Teach For America

Jasmin Duckworth is the Recruitment Director for the West Region at Teach For America. She leads a team of campus recruiters as they seek the most talented and diverse students to join the movement to expand educational equity. During the pandemic, she was part of the IGNITE Tutoring Fellowship pilot that provided a virtual and paid fellowship to over 150 undergrad students to accelerate academic progress to children in low-income communities in Phoenix. She has also co-led the Immigrant-Refugee and Allies Affinity Group and was selected as a 2021 Organizational Learning Fellow. At age 13, Jasmin and her family immigrated to the United States from Lima, Peru in search of a better life. A divide for minorities became clear to her as she pursued her education which set off a series of community service positions, many hours of volunteering and involvement in nonprofits. Ultimately, this led her to a career with Teach For America, where her passion for DEI, culture, and representation intersects with an immediate, tangible impact in her community which continues to this day.
