After graduating from CSULB, Samuel A. “Skip” Keesal Jr. attended law school then worked for two law firms before founding Keesal, Young & Logan in 1970.
Today, the firm, which specializes in securities-related litigation, maritime law, professional malpractice defense and real estate matters, has grown to 63 attorneys with offices in Long Beach and San Francisco.
He has served on committees of various organizations dealing with securities and commodities issues and has been listed in all editions of the Best Lawyers of America. In February Skip was inducted in the International Academy of Trial Lawyers – a prestigious group totaling only 500 members in the world.
He serves on numerous boards including the university’s Board of Governors and is a member of the President’s Associates. Despite his busy schedule, Skip still participates in occasional roping competitions at local rodeos, a sport he started at age 10 while growing up on Arizona ranch.
