Norman completed his BS degree at CSULB, then called Long Beach State College, on the GI bill, returning to school following a stretch in the military. At the time, with a wife to care for and a baby on the way, he found that the convenient location of the campus, and the business program it offered, made his transition into the civilian working world quite manageable and marked the beginning of his career.
He is the former president and chief executive officer of Glendale Federal Savings and Loan Association, and vice chairman of GLENFED, Inc.
He continues to stay engaged with the CBA as a part-time Finance instructor and founding member of the Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) program Advisory Board.
