Yasmin Abdrabo
Major: Heath Science

Yasmin is a Health Science: Community Health Education major from Rowland Heights, California. She became an SI Leader to help students better understand the course material by providing them with the resources and study skills needed to excel. Her goal is to help alleviate any stress that may come with the course. In the future, she plans to attend grad school to continue her pursuit of knowledge. In her spare time, she likes to go on runs, make beaded jewelry, and watch Netflix with her cat.

Audrey Yoshimura
Major: Pre-Nursing

Audrey is a Pre-Nursing Major and hopes to earn her nursing degree to work in pediatrics. She became an SI leader because she understands the challenges that come with being a college student, she hopes to help other students by being a supportive and encouraging peer leader. In her free time, she is an avid reader, crafter, and occasionally visits the Rec Center to play basketball!

Major: Kinesiology 

Genine is a Kinesiology major with an emphasis in Exercise Science. Her career goal is to become a physical therapist. She became an SI Leader, because she wants to help students become more confident in their learning abilities and study habits.

Major: Psychology

Kelsey is a Psychology major with an interest in physiology. She became an SI Leader to provide a supportive environment to help students master difficult course content. She hopes to become a mental health nurse practitioner one day. In her free time, she likes to read and go on walks.

Alvin Nguyen 
Major: Kinesiology 

Alvin is a Kinesiology major with a focus in exercise science. After finishing his bachelor’s degree at CSULB, he hopes to attend graduate school to get his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. His desire to become an SI Leader stems from his passion for helping others as physiology can be a difficult subject. In addition to this, he hops to expand further and build meaningful connections! During his free time, he enjoys golfing at the driving range, rock climbing, and attending music festivals!

Esther Pham
Major: Molecular Cell Biology & Physiology 

Esther is a Molecular Cell Biology & Physiology major with a Chemistry minor. After being an SI student for multiple subjects, she has experienced how much SI contributes to academic success and wanted to become an SI leader to help other students achieve their academic goals. In the future, Esther plans to attend optometry school to become an optometrist. She is interested in specializing in LASIK, myopia control, or sports vision but isn't sure yet of which one. Although Esther likes to spend her free time hanging out with her friends and going to coffee shops, she loves to spend it sleeping the most.

Kelly Kang
Major: Biology 

Kelly is a Biology major with a minor in Chemistry from Huntington Beach, CA. As an SI leader, she empathizes with academic challenges, drawing from her own experiences. Kelly is dedicated to helping others grasp subjects and develop lifelong study skills. Beyond academics, she delves into organic chemistry lab research in her free time and volunteers at CHOC.

Major: Kinesiology

Priyasha is a second-year Kinesiology major with a concentration in Exercise Science. She plans to go into the healthcare field and is looking into dentistry. She became an SI leader because she believes the best way to learn is by teaching and helping others! In her free time, she enjoys learning about ballet, working out, and reading.

Amanda is a Pre-Nursing major from San Diego, CA. She became an SI leader because of the positive experience that SI had on her during her first semester. She wants to support students in their difficult courses, help students achieve their highest academic potential, and build lasting relationships. In the future, Amanda aspires to become a pediatric nurse.

Xavier is a Pre-Nursing major from Menifee, CA. He became an SI Leader because he understands the difficulty of anatomy and wants to provide students a fun and collaborative space to succeed in the course. In his spare time, Xavier enjoys playing basketball, reading, listening to music, and playing video games with friends.

Abigail Orenday
Major: Pre-Nursing

Abby is a Pre-Nursing major from Southern CA who hopes to earn her BSN, RN, and work for the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps as a NICU or ER Nurse before ultimately becoming a Nurse Practitioner. She became an SI Leader because her own experiences of being an SI student had such a positive impact on her that she wanted to be able to do the same for others. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends, going on road trips, and volunteering at the VA hospital.

Margaux is a Pre-Nursing student from Pleasanton, CA. Her primary objective is to attend the nursing program at CSULB and become a nurse anesthetist. She became an SI Leader to aid students in achieving their academic goals. During her free time, she enjoys going to Philz, spending time with friends and family, and making new playlists on Spotify!
