As we celebrate Cal State Long Beach's 75th anniversary, my heart is filled with immense pride and gratitude. For three-quarters of a century, this institution has been a catalyst for change, a source of inspiration for countless individuals, and a place where hopes and dreams are fulfilled.

From our humble beginnings in 1949 to our present-day status as a nationally recognized R2 institution, CSULB has consistently exceeded expectations. This is due in great part to our dedicated faculty and staff, who have nurtured generations of talented students and equipped them with the knowledge and skills to succeed in a rapidly changing world.

Through the years, our campus has evolved into a vibrant hub of intellectual curiosity, cultural diversity and community engagement. Our campus has witnessed groundbreaking research, innovative programs and countless achievements that have shaped our region and beyond.

As we look ahead to the next 75 years, I am excited about the boundless possibilities that lie ahead. We will continue to strive for academic excellence, foster a culture of inclusion and serve as a place for transformation in our community and beyond.

Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey. Your commitment, dedication and unwavering support have made Cal State Long Beach the extraordinary institution it is today.
