Marcia Hoffman '68

My experience at Long Beach State was incredibly invigorating. I was a music major with a drama minor and I was able to get my teaching credential there. I met my husband at the Hello Dance when I was a sophomore and he was a junior. I was also able to perform with the Carpenters, with Richard Carpenter accompanying me on the piano. I was able to reconnect with Frank Pooler, the key music person who had a great influence on my life, many years after I had graduated. I am grateful for the experiences I had at Long Beach State and the lifelong friends I made there. It was a great resource for me to grow and change as a person and to help me with my career and relationships after graduation.
