Karina Neale '91

I attended Long Beach State for my undergraduate degree. It was a great place to learn and grow, and I had a lot of friends there. It was close to where I lived in Orange County, and I was able to afford it. I wasn't involved in any clubs or activities, but I had the time to figure out what I wanted to do. I realized I could use my educational experience to help others, and that's what encouraged me to go into education. I have fond memories of the campus, the trees, the cherry blossoms, the fountains, and the sunshine. I also have a fondness for the Swiss cheese croissants at one of the coffee shops. I really enjoyed the camaraderie with my friends and the overall happy atmosphere.
