Looking back at my time at Long Beach State, I was grateful to have had the chance to know many fine people and enjoy my life there. My friends in the sorority, working with the head coach of the men's volleyball team, the CSULB men's rowing team and all who were involved. The fraternal organization prepared me and made me mature and grow as a person. I was part of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. I also had the opportunity to be the statistician for the men's volleyball team. My time in the sorority and all the nice friends I had in all the sports activities that I was involved with, like volleyball and rowing, really helped me grow as a person and become myself. After graduating, I met my husband and moved back to Santa Barbara, California, where I worked for Verizon. This job allowed me to have time with my kids and to be home when they got out of school. I felt very blessed for this type of life. Looking back, I'm thankful for the experiences I had at Long Beach State, grateful for the education I got there and the people I met there that helped me mature and grow. It was a great school with great teaching staff and classmates.
