- This is a primary source for U.S.
statistical information for a variety of different topics including
health, business, birth rates, housing and more.

and City Data Books
- This site is maintained by the University
of Virginia. It allows you to select specific data regarding
cities and counties all over the US and generate custom tables.
This site takes its data from the Census so the most recent information
available is 1994 until they add 2000 Census data. One of the
easiest ways to get all the statistics about LA County you need!

articles that specifically provide statistics. From the main screen
click on the "Guided" Search tab. From the next screen
you will be able to select "Article Type"- select the "statistics"
option. You will then find articles that give you statistics about
your topic if any exist.

- This database allows you to search for
articles by selecting the "free text searching". Add
in terms that would indicate statistics e.g. survey- rates- average-
percentage, etc. Be creative and use synonyms and plurals!
