INFORMATION
Critical thinking isn't just learning to be critical in a negative sense.  What the term really means is learning how to think more logically, systematically, and effectively.  It means that you learn how to evaluate information so that you will not be easily fooled or misled by others who may be attempting to influence you.  Thus you gain independence and self-reliance.

Even well-meaning experts do not all agree with each other. Which is correct?  Who's advice will you follow?  Can you trust your own conclusions when an expert disagrees?  These are the kind of issues that can be addressed by developing good critical thinking skills. This is such an important area that many universities now require every student to complete a course in critical thinking.

ADVICE
Develop your critical thinking skills.  Good information is the basis for all good decisions and for achieving success in any endeavor.
