President’s Letter

For more than two decades the President's Commission on the Status of Women (PCSW) at California State University, Long Beach has steadfastly worked to enhance the role of women on campus and beyond, and to advocate for those changes that make this a better university for all.

The legacy of the PCSW is apparent. The university community has benefitted greatly from PCSW's work to counter discrimination and harassment, to highlight women's research, to support family needs through on-campus child care, to provide scholarships, and to advance the recognition of all women – whoever they may be.

The ability of the PCSW to offer support and leadership depends upon the dedication of its members, and the willingness of all campus members to participate in their mission.

I congratulate the President's Commission on the Status of Women for important work already accomplished, and for the dedication that continues to benefit our campus community.
