Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is a committee of the California State University, Long Beach Staff Council. The Membership Committee is responsible for running Staff Council elections and soliciting staff member’s campus wide or from a requested division for various campus committees.

All the members on this committee must be Staff Council members.

NOMINATIONS FOR STAFF COUNCIL

All CSULB staff employees, managers (except those with academic retreat rights), and staff of CSULB auxiliaries (the CSULB Foundation, Associated Students, and Forty-Niner Shops) who are employed on a half-time basis, or more, with an initial appointment of at least six months or more are eligible to serve as a member of the Council. Each organizational unit shall be entitled to one (1) representative for each twenty-five (25) eligible staff members or fraction thereof. Each representative shall be elected for 3 years with the term beginning in June.

Requirements

  1. Nominees must be willing to have their names placed on a ballot. (You may nominate yourself).
  2. If elected, individuals must be willing to serve a three-year term (2011 – 2014. Meetings are the second Friday of the month, 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
  3. Nominees must have their supervisor’s signature on the nomination form.
