New and exciting changes are afoot at the CSULB Library! Four new changes will debut in the spring semester 2013 to make your research even easier!
A long overdue change has come! A new Library homepage is debuting December 17th. The new layout features a streamlined appearance and simplified search options (more on that below!). The new site will be up and running for spring, but your feedback is imperative! We would love volunteers for user testing to ensure a quality user experience! If you are interested in participating, please contact Cathy Outten at Cathy.Outten@csulb.edu.
Students have asked the Library for a simpler, quicker search option. This will be the centerpiece of the new Library homepage! One box that allows searching of books and articles at once. This "quick and dirty" search does not replace our extensive subject database collection for in-depth research, but is yet another option.
We have a new service! Our old InterLibrary Services (known as ILLiad and ArticleReach) have been replaced by BeachReach which features improved speed and a simplified request system. Link+ remains our rapid book delivery system.
To accommodate our Library patrons, especially those who have to prepare for 8am classes, the Library will open at 6:45am Monday-Friday during the regular semester.
