Due to state budget reductions, California State University, Long Beach will be closed Nov. 25, 2009. University classes will not be conducted, with the exception of credit and non–credit courses offered through the College of Continuing and Professional Education. Most facilities will be closed to increase cost savings through energy savings, although some will remain open to accommodate students, including the Student Health Center, which will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For additional information regarding what will be closed or open on Nov. 25, call for prerecorded information on the State Budget Closure Day Information Hotline, 562/985-8080.

Yes, that's the way it works. And with a CSULB charitable gift annuity, you not only receive the satisfaction of helping to further the mission of the University, you will receive annuity payments for the rest of your life.
There are several ways in which alumni and friends may contribute to CSULB: online, mail, phone, stocks and securities, planned gifts, matching gifts and payroll deduction.
Although Cal State Long Beach is a publicly supported institution, generous contributions to the Annual Fund are critical to keeping the University thriving.
Private support is increasingly important as the state contributions to the overal budget of CSULB have fallen below 50%.
